Knox Greens - Minutes 9/27/01MINUTES OF THE KNOX GREENS SEPT. 27, 2001 PRESENT: Mary Adams, Herb Hoche, Joanne Batty, Mark Elwin, Mike Ray, Tim Sullivan, Lynne Williams, Cindy McIntyre Steven Farasci, a Green Party candidate for Governor, and Jane Scease, Green Party selectman’s candidate in Topsham, spoke to us about Farasci’s bid for Governor. His presentation was followed by a question and answer session. Lynne presented the candidate questionaire for the Rockland City Councilor’s race, which was approved. She will send copies to the candidates along with a cover letter, and Tim will send a press release to the Free Press and Courier. Mike Ray presented a list of options the Fundraising Committee drafted regarding the Fall Assembly and the Boneheads dance. It was decided to host this Assembly in conjunction with the Boneheads if it could be done on Dec. 1st or another convenient date. The Knox Greens will try to get the state GIP to fork over some funding, but we will proceed even if they don’t. An Assembly meeting will be held at Tim’s on Oct 1 at 6 pm We agreed to send the MGIP the voter list of Knox Greens. We agreed to invite Jonathan Carter to one of our meetings to talk to us about his candidacy for Maine Governor. Next meeting: Oct 25, 6 pm Rockland Rec Center |
